Elements of Honors
How I Personify the Elements of Honors
Scholarly
Advancement
In my career, I want to impact the community through real estate. While I’m in college, I want to graduate with honors, maintaining a high GPA and providing research within my field. Outside of my classes, I will take time ensure the best grades possible, through study groups, tutoring, the writing center, and office hours.
Community
Engagement
As has been previously mentioned, I am a political science major, and Community engagement is vital to politics, as you are directly connected with your entire community. In high school, I focused much of my volunteer work on my church, and that has continued throughout college. Staying close to home has provided me the opportunity to give back in a new way, as a mentor to students in the church and teacher during Sunday school.
Cultural
Enrichment
Long term, I would like to be able to understand at least one more language, and eventually be fluent, as well as spend time in the country or place in which that language is spoken. In college, I would like to study abroad, likely somewhere in Europe. Whether the program be specifically related to my major, or just a general academic program, I want to expand my horizons and see the world. Outside of classes and class related things, I can look into the diversity on our own campus, and in our town, possibly through volunteer hours.
Leadership
Development
In my career, I will lead not only my own title company, but eventually a brokerage with hundreds of agents. This makes leadership skills extremely important, and my continued development crucial to my future.
